About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Quality to lead our dynamic manufacturing and distribution operations in Dubai. The Head of Quality will be a key member of the Senior Management Team, responsible for setting and executing the group-wide quality strategy across manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain operations.This role will drive continuous improvement, ensure regulatory and standards compliance, and lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver product excellence and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and commercial acumen to elevate Sanipex's commitment to best-in-class quality across all product lines and regions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, quality control, ISO, QMS, inspection and testing, with a minimum of 10 years of experience. This role requires excellent leadership skills to manage a multicultural workforce of up to 50 employees, including 5+ direct reports.Commercial experience in managing budgets as a cost centre is a must. The successful candidate will drive efficiency, quality, and innovation through the latest in quality initiatives and methodologies in a rapidly growing company.
By combining Quality proficiency with leadership, the Head of Quality plays a vital role in ensuring operational and commercial success. The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of the end-to-end Quality processes and technical standards underpinning our products.Oversees quality control through the entire supply chain, in house manufacturing, coating, assembly and installation processes for all product lines, ensuring efficiency and scalability. Adhering to internal and standard driven Quality procedures, as well as company HSE policies.
Sanipex Group offers a comprehensive portfolio of Bathroom, Tiles, Outdoor Furniture, Kitchen Appliances and Lighting products. The Head of Quality will support each of our product categories, and work with the product development team, Purchasing, Technical and Category Managers in developing, testing and certifying new product lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Leadership: Oversee all Quality operations, ensuring optimal quality and efficiency.
- Manage Quality at source and ensure suppliers are delivering on the quality and documentation requirements for the company.
- Visit and audit suppliers, sub suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure adherence to company internal quality procedures and international standards.
- Process Optimization: Implement and continuously improve Quality principles to enhance operational performance and data reporting.
- Laboratory: Utilize expertise in managing the in-house Lab to test product quality and conformance to international and regional standards.
- Workforce Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team, ensuring high levels of engagement and performance.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Maintain the highest quality standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
- Cost & Efficiency Management: Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining operational excellence, manage cost recover from suppliers for rejected products.
- Technology & Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest manufacturing advancements and integrate relevant technologies to improve efficiency.
- Health & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to workplace safety standards and protocols.
- Strategic Growth & Expansion: Support the company's growth strategy, scaling manufacturing operations to meet increasing demand.
About You
The ideal candidate is an experienced Quality Manager with at least 10 years in a leadership role, specifically within the bathroom industry. A degree in engineering or manufacturing is required; an MBA is a plus.
You will have strong knowledge of manufacturing processes of bathroom products, appliances, product finishes, and ISO standards. Proven ability to lead and develop multicultural teams (50+ staff with 5+ direct reports) in a fast-paced environment is essential.The role requires commercial acumen with the ability to manage cost centre, regulatory expertise, and a proactive approach to quality control, documentation, and continuous improvement. You will be capable in establishing service standards for end users (i.e., internal department or external customer).
