The aftermarket value chain organization in the Resource Industries Sales, Services, and Technology division has a great opportunity for a Supply Chain Planning Engineer to support our growing Component Rebuild Centre Work Order Management team.
The successful incumbent will perform analysis to identify Component Rebuild Centre production plans, pinpoint limiting factors in the extended value chain, and implement solutions to achieve dealer CRC Rebuild Conformance targets. Additionally, the incumbent will manage one or more dealer engagements within an identified marketing region.
Job Responsibilities:
Act as liaison with dealer CRC, Inventory, and Planning personnel to identify rebuild plans. Analyze rebuild plans and work order data to identify part availability constraints. Collaborate with PSORs, PSLD Customer Services, and other Caterpillar personnel to identify and develop solutions to meet CRC throughput targets.Provide dealers with visibility to CRC Component Coverage, identify dates and quantities dealers will receive parts. Restore and maintain material flow to support dealer engine PEX and customer fleet health. Provide regular project updates to the CRC Work Order Management Program Manager.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum or equivalent experience. 10+ years of value chain experience in Product, Manufacturing, and/or Parts Distribution. 3+ years in Aftermarket Parts related experience related to Order to Delivery planning processes, execution processes, or project leadership roles.

Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Influencing Through Expertise: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to use these to deepen own expertise and impact or challenge decisions within and outside own organization. Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.
Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and system. Understanding of end-to-end aftermarket value chain from mine sites to Caterpillar’s supply base.
