Job description / Role
Employment: Full Time
Job Purpose:To lead, manage, and continuously improve the quality control processes within the manufacturing facility, ensuring that all rubber belt products meet or exceed company and customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement quality control policies, procedures, and standards for the production of rubber belts.
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the QC team to ensure effective inspection and testing at all production stages.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, ISO standards, and other applicable quality standards.
- Monitor and analyze production processes and product quality data to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage non-conformance cases, investigate root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues and optimize processes.
- Lead internal audits and facilitate external audits by customers, certifying bodies, or regulatory authorities.
- Maintain and manage quality documentation, including test records, reports, and certification files.
- Train and develop QC team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness.
- Report regularly to management on quality performance, KPIs, issues, and improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Key Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment — preferably in the rubber, polymer, or industrial products sector.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management systems.
- Familiarity with rubber belt production processes, materials, and testing standards.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficient in quality analysis tools, reporting, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Certifications in Quality Management (ISO Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Experience working in heavy industry, automotive, or conveyor belt manufacturing sectors.
- Do you possess proficiency in industry-standard quality tools and methodologies, including but not limited to Minitab, SPC, MSA, R&R, APQP, and PFMEA?
