Job Summary:

To lead the strategic alignment and value delivery in IT through effective project management including, but not limited to, ensuring the successful execution of projects and programs, managing risks, performance tracking, prioritizing resources, improving processes, etc.

to maximize the impact of IT investments on overall business success.

General Responsibilities:

  • As IT Applications Project Manager (PM) within our IT Project Management Office (PMO), you will play a pivotal role in supporting the successful execution and delivery of digitalization projects, following different project management methodologies and frameworks.
  • Your contribution will be vital in various aspects of project management including but not limited to business analysis, business case development, chartering and maintaining project templates, risk and issue management, stakeholder alignment, project reporting and control.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

Business Analysis & Documentation
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and validate proposed solutions ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of business case documents, including cost-benefit analyses, ROI calculations, and risk assessments, to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and assist in the evaluation and selection of appropriate solutions.
Project Planning, Reporting & Control
  • Provide effective management support to project teams, ensure project plans are created and maintained, and monitor projects against scope, time, budget, and quality standards.
  • Track status of project deliverables and milestones, prepare consolidated material for status reporting, support the adoption of project lifecycle and deliverables.
  • Organize workshops to identify areas of improvement for projects, document recommendations, and present them to relevant stakeholders.

Risk, Assumption, Issue, Dependency (RAID) Management

  • Working with project teams, assist in proactive identification, assessment, prioritization, and tracking of risks, assumption, issues, and dependencies.
  • Document project assumptions, validate them whenever possible, and revise as needed based on changing circumstances to ensure accurate planning and decision-making.
  • Manage project dependencies by identifying critical path activities and ensuring that tasks are sequenced properly to minimize delays and optimize project efficiency.
Change Control
  • Assist in implementing the change control process across all portfolios.
  • Support the evaluation of proposed changes, assess their impact on project objectives, and facilitate decision-making by project stakeholders.
  • Communicate change decisions to relevant project teams and ensure proper documentation and tracking of approved changes.
Agile Management
  • Collaborate closely with product owners and stakeholders to assist in backlog grooming and prioritization, sprint planning, and sprint review meetings.
  • Work closely with various cross-functional Agile teams to assist in feature definition, development of user stories and acceptance criteria, release planning activities.
  • Monitor product performance and user engagement metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend adjustments to product strategy and roadmap.
Creating and Maintaining Project Templates
  • Help develop and maintain various project-related templates, such as, business case, status reports, risk registers, issue logs, and closure report to streamline project management processes.
  • Ensure consistency and standardization of project templates across all projects within the IT PMO, adhering to organizational guidelines and best practices.
  • Regularly review and update project templates to incorporate feedback and accommodate evolving project management requirements and methodologies.
Stakeholder Management
  • Foster positive relationships with project stakeholders, including business sponsors, subject matter experts, and other team members, to ensure alignment of objectives and expectations.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels, actively listen to their perspectives, and address concerns or questions to foster understanding and alignment.
  • Handle any disputes or issues that arise during the project lifecycle, working towards amicable resolutions.
RFP Management
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to structure comprehensive RFP documents that clearly outline project requirements, scope, evaluation criteria, and timelines.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential vendors and understand industry standards and trends.
  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication with vendors throughout the RFP process, addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
  • Coordinate the contract awarding process, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained and documentation is completed.
  • Conduct a post-RFP review to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement in future RFP processes.
  • Help maintain detailed records of the RFP process, including all communications, proposals, evaluations, and decisions, for future reference and audit purposes.
Contract Management
  • Aid procurement and legal teams in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing contracts to ensure they meet organizational requirements and standards.
  • Aid procurement team in negotiations with vendors and service providers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Identify potential risks in contracts and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Monitor vendor performance against contract terms and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Oversee contract budgets, ensuring projects stay within financial constraints.
  • Help evaluate and improve contract management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Vendor Management
  • Aid procurement and techno-functional teams in evaluating, scoring and selecting vendors based on project requirements, cost, and quality.
  • Regularly assess vendor performance and provide feedback to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to vendor performance and reliability.
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts with vendors promptly and effectively.
  • Help develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key vendors to support long-term business objectives
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information System or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of experience in Project Management or similar role working in PMO within the IT, Digital, Energy & Utility sector or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with project management processes, methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), frameworks (e.g., PMBOK, PRINCE).
  • Familiarity of project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, JIRA, Asana, etc.
  • Proficiency in English language is required.
  • Any of the Project Management certification Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) or Certified Project Manager (IPMA-Level C) or Certified Associate in Project Management (PMI-CAPM) or Certified Project Management Associate (IPMA-Level D)
Preferred Requirements
  • Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information System or equivalent.
  • 12+ years of experience in Project Management or similar role working in PMO within the IT, Digital, Energy & Utility sector or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Arabic language.
  • Any of the Business Analysis certification Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) or Certified Business Analysis Professional (IIBA-CBAP)
  • Any of the Agile Management certification Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or Certified ScrumMaster (SA-CSM)
  • Any of the Program Management certification Program Management Professional (PMI-PgMP) or Certified Senior Project Manager (IPMA-Level B)
